Go Deltas Go!

Have to brag on my ∆∆∆ sistas today... University of Arkansas Tri Delta was the 4th largest fundraising chapter in the nation for 2010, raising $49,000 for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital!

Arkansas Tri Delt hosts plenty of fun, philanthropic events throughout the year. A couple of my faves were Pancake Pigout, Frats at Bat and the Halloween Carnival.
They still use our banner! :)
Since I've graduated, the girls have started a Flag Football Tournament and a golf tournament called "18 Hole for Hope".

I'd like to add (and brag some more), that of the Top 10 fundraising chapters, FIVE come from the SEC:
1. University of Tennessee
3. Mississippi State University
4. University of Arkansas
6. University of South Carolina
7. University of Florida

And now, a timeline of events:
  • Delta Delta Delta officially adopted St. Jude Children's Research Hospital as its national philanthropic partner in November of 1999.
  • Tri Delta raised $1 million that endowed the hospital's Teen Room, a commitment that was completed in January 2005.
  • In 2006, Tri Delta took on its second commitment that came with the challenge to raise $10 million in 10 years to name the Patient Care Floor in the Chili's Care Center.
  •  In May of 2010 - SIX years early - Tri Delta met the $10 million fundraising goal.

  • In July 2010, Tri Delta announced its third naming commitment, an aggressive challenge to raise $15 million in 5 years to name the Specialty Clinic located in the Patient Care Center at St. Jude.
  •  As of July 2010, Tri Delta members have raised more than $13.4 million for the children of St. Jude.
I'm sooo proud of these accomplishments and can't wait til we meet that $15 million goal... Early? Again? We'll see.

Go seesters go!
